Founded in 1962, Boys Club of Alice, operated out of an old bowling alley located near downtown on 2nd Street.  The Club served boys with a gameroom and boxing ring.

In 1975, the City of Alice built a new facility on Old Kingsville Rd.  The building was shared with other organizations and consisted of a large gameroom and plenty of outdoor space.

We officially became Boys & Girls Club of Alice in 1990 when our national organization changed its name to Boys & Girls Clubs of America.  A few years after in 1994, the Club acquired more space to better serve our youth.  We added a kitchen, learning center, tech center and arts and crafts center.

In 2005, our Board of Directors decided that in order to reach more youth and provide a wider range of programs, the Club needed a new centrally located facility to call home.  Through the dedication of our Board of Directors and the outstanding support of our community and business owners, our dream has become a reality! Since, December 6, 2010, we have operated from our new location at 793 S. Texas Blvd.

Between our Clubhouse programs and sports programs we serve over 2500 children every year.  Our dedicated professional staff foster a safe place for youth to learn and grow.  Dedicated to helping kids who need us most, Boys & Girls Club of Alice provides a broad range of programs that aid in building character and skills that will last a lifetime.

At Boys & Girls Club of Alice, we know that the future of our city rests in the hands of our children.  Our staff, volunteers, parents, and supporters believe that the promise of tomorrow begins today.
The Boys & Girls Club of Alice knows today's youth will become tomorrow's parents, workforce, and leaders.  Together, we strive to give our youth hope, and opportunity to realize their full potential.

To enable all young  people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.

We believe that our youth will achieve their goals when they are provided with high-quality programs and facilities in an environment that promotes respect, responsibility and fun.  Our Clubhouse, staff, and programs come together to create a sense of physical and emotional safety for our members. Our youth development professionals serve each day as positive role models who provide ongoing caring relationships with our youth. We work to develop and instill a sense of belonging, competence, usefulness, and influence. Staff members make the Club feel like home, creating a family atmosphere and a sense of ownership for all members.
